GMA 7 Summer Station ID 2009

As expected, GMA released their own Summer Station ID. The summer station ID is from the latest song of Marian Rivera, "Sabay Sabay Tayo." What can you say about this summer station ID?

Marian Rivera New Commercial

The number one TV personality of GMA 7 has a new TV commercial for Maxipeel. I haven't seen the commercial yet but would like to post it here. My friend in the Philippines said that she's speaking in English again. You have to listen carefully to her line, "sure way to smoother, whiter kutis artista skin." She pronounced "sure way" as "shurwi" hahaha.

Marian Rivera Sexy Pictures

Marian Rivera sexy pictures courtesy of G. Alpal of Rouge Studios. What's latest with Marian Rivera? I heard that she topped the latest FHM 100 sexiest women in the Philippines. Marian Rivera's latest endorsement is Jag Jeans (Angel Locsin's former endorsement) and her latest scandal is the slapping incident with a male fan. Just Google it, it is even on video.

Dyesebel and Survivor Philippines

DyesebelAfter the success of Mari Mar in the Philippines, Marian Rivera’s next project, “Dyesebel” will start airing tomorrow on GMA 7 after Joaquin Bordado. I must admit the sneak preview of Dyesebel was nicely done. The cinematography was nice and the background scene was spectacular. Marian Rivera will co-star again with DingDong Dantes. Other stars in the soap are LotLot De Leon, Marco Alcaraz, Jean Garcia, Wendell Ramos, Alfred Vargas and many more. Dyesebel is still directed by Joyce Bernal. I just hope the finesse in the sneak preview will be brought out until the ending of the show. The writers of Dyesebel should have created the story for the whole season. The viewers aren’t expecting the show to be extended when it’s a hit then the story will be butchered.

Survivor Philippines Paolo BedionesMoving along, I saw a sneak preview of Survivor Philippines at the bus on my way home yesterday. I was a fan of the original Survivor but eventually I got tired of watching it. The father of all reality shows is now in the Philippines and GMA 7 has acquired its rights. Paolo Bediones will host the show as expected. Anyone knows when will it air and where is the location of Survivor Philippines anyway? I’m looking forward to watch it.

Marian Rivera’s Poor Talent Fee

Maja Salvador, Marian Rivera and Heart Evangelista for SunsilkIf you were a TV addict like me for sure you would have noticed that aside from KC Concepcion, Marian Rivera is also one of top TV commercial endorsers now. For a regular person like us, we can analyze that celebrities TV endorsements are only based on their fame and great looks. But what’s so surprising is that Marian Rivera’s talent fee for Sunsilk is just the same with Heart Evangelista and Maja Salvador. The three of them received 5 Million each.

With Marian Rivera’s extreme popularity, I really thought that she was earning more like Piolo Pascual (10M for Clear) and John Lloyd Cruz (12M for Biogesic). So, what do you think is the problem with Marian Rivera? The answer…her diction and voice projection. I have learned that advertisers do not base talent fees on popularity and looks but also with diction and voice projection. I think that is just right, endorsers should be pitch perfect when delivering their lines or else the products they are endorsing will not sell.

I just hope Marian Rivera would take time in improving her flaws. She is losing millions and possible earnings. No wonder many advertisers are asking for her because her talent fee is cheaper compared to her popularity. Thank you to the magic of dubbing.

Marian Rivera’s Unthawed Tongue

Marimar Sergio Marian Rivera Dingdong Dantes pictureMarian Rivera is definitely the biggest star of GMA 7, replacing the now Kapamilya star Angel Locsin. If you have been watching local channels, for sure you have seen Marian Rivera’s latest TV commercial. To name a few: Del Monte Fit & Right, Maxi Peel and her latest from SunSilk Shampoo.

I was really shocked to hear her lines from the SunSilk Shampoo commercial. I actually didn’t notice if there were grammatical errors but what struck me the most was the way she pronounced her lines. As if she was new in speaking in English. I suggest that she practice her English. Instead of believing her in the commercial, it felt like she was trying hard a lot. Her new Maxi Peel commercial is better though. She speaks well and her words aren’t that hard to my ears.

After the success of Mari Mar, Marian Rivera is now doing Dyesebel. According to a press release, the finale episode of Mari Mar sky rocketed the TV ratings surpassing the high rating of the former TV show of GMA 7’s Darna. Would Dyesebel be another hit? Let’s just see.

Remake of Marimar

ThaliaI read an article in Inquirer.net that GMA 7 is in the works of remaking Thalia’s soap opera hit “Marimar.” Marian Rivera would play the lead role while Michael V would dub Fulgoso. I’m curious of its outcome and if it would get the same intense Thalia’s Marimar had in the Philippines TV primetime. Would it rate given that a new comer would play the lead role?

Speaking of Thalia, are there available DVD’s of her soap operas in the market? Given that I am a patron of US TV series, it wouldn’t hurt if I have Thalia’s soap operas. Hehe…
