Whitney Houston To Be Honored at VH1

"I Will Always Love You" singer Whitney Houston will be honored in the next installment of VH1 Divas as announced by VH1.

The Whitney Houston tribute will be recorded this December in Los Angeles with Houston's long time musical director Rickey Minor as executive producer.

A statement from Houston's family says, "We all felt that if any show could pay tribute to Whitney's music, it would be 'Divas.' On the other hand VH1 president Tom Calderone said in an interview, "December felt like enough time where it wouldn't be sad anymore, you'd want to celebrate her music."

No artists have been officially announced to perform in the Whitney Houston tribute.

Whitney Houston Drowned With Drugs in Her System

The toxicology report of Whitney Houston was finally released on Thursday by the Coroner's office. Houston's death was caused by drowning, heart disease and the effects of cocaine use.

According to the report, they have found traces of Cocaine, Marijuana, Xanax and a muscle relaxant Flexeril. Only cocaine contributed to her death. The coroner's report also suggested that Whitney was a chronic cocaine user.

A statement from her sister-in-law and manager Patricia Houston says, "We are saddened to learn of the toxicology results, although we are glad to now have closure."

Whitney Houston died on February 12, the night before the Grammy Awards and was set to attend the event.

Whitney Houston Casket Photo Receives Backlash

The National Enquirer has released the photo of Whitney Houston in a casket. The headline says that the diva wore her favorite purple dress, $500,000 worth of jewelry and slippers made of gold. The headline was matched with the zoomed photo of Houston.

The release of the photo received backlash from Facebook and Twitter, calling it insensitive and tasteless.

Reports are saying that the casket photo was sold by Bobby Brown's sister. Too bad for Whitney, people are taking advantage of her.

Songwriters of Whitney Houston Will Earn Big Bucks

Music insiders are saying that Whitney Houston's writers ad publishers will benefit from the anticipated posthumous sales of the late singer. Dolly Parton which is the writer of "I Will Always Love You" will rake in most of the earnings as the song is Houston's biggest song.

Sadly for Houston, all of her songs are not written by her and she will only earn from album sales which according to estimate is $2 per album. Unlike the case of Michael Jackson, which most of his songs were written by him. He earns from royalties for every radio performance and album sales.

Reports are saying that Houston is broke and had a lot of advances from her record label. She might even owe the record label or just even break even.

Whitney Houston Dead at 48

Legendary singer Whitney Houston has died at the age of 48 as confirmed by its publicist, Kristen Foster on Saturday. The cause of death and location were unknown as of press time.

The pop queen who ruled the charts from 1980s to late 1990s had a tumultuous marriage to singer Bobby Brown. Houston from the infamous interview with Diane Sawyer way back 2002 admitted her drug use.

Her recent music come back in 2009 was a success with her album "I Look To You" debuting at number one at the Album Charts. Following her public performances and concerts were her downfall with her not hitting the notes and dismayed audience.

Houston was recently seen at the Kelly Price & Friends Unplugged: For The Love of R&B Grammy Party at True Hollywood last night.

Whitney Houston Postpones Paris Show

Diva Whitney Houston postpones her Paris show on April 6th after suffering from a respiratory illness.

In the statement released by the concert organizer, I quote, "Whitney is suffering from an upper respiratory infection and after a consultation with her doctors has been advised to postpone her performance. Whitney and her band apologize that the show has to be rescheduled on such short notice."

Whitney had a big comeback last year when she released the album "I Turn To You." The album was a success topping the US and the international album charts. Her tour began in South Korea followed in Japan then Australia. It was reported though that she received a rocky reception in her concert leg in Asia and Australia. Even fans walking out of the concert.

Anyway, her Britain tour will push through as scheduled on April 8 and the Paris new concert date will be announced soon.

Scary Whitney Houston

This is yet another case of obvious plastic surgery. Whitney Houston in the picture looks funny and at the same time scary. What's up with her chest? It looks like some silicon implants will pop up if I poke it will a ballpen or something sharp.

Aside from her stripper looking breasts, some are saying that Whitney Houston also had her face refreshed. I don't know what that means though.
