Well Deserved Haircut

Last Friday after work, I was decided to have a haircut on the mall near our place. My only dilemma was the barbershop in that mall was operated by Singaporeans. No offense to Singaporeans but I am not sure if I will like their cut or we will have problems communicating. When I arrived in that mall, I passed the barbershop to check the place but decided to just come back after dinner. I went instead to the grocery to buy something to cook. I bought chicken, tomato sauce, French beans and potato. I arrived our flat surprised that my housemate was already cooking. I sent my housemate an SMS asking if he has something to cook that’s why I went to the grocery. After dinner, I felt tired and have decided to just have my haircut the next day.

After yesterday lunch, I have decided to go to Orchard to have my haircut. I also planned to buy my lunch box so I can bring packed lunch in the office. While we were having lunch, I discovered that my roommate was also having a haircut in Orchard. Orchard by the way is a place in Singapore where Filipinos usually go. Lucky Plaza is a mall where there are Filipino shops, remittance centers and Filipino restaurants. I phoned her after lunch so we can just meet up at Lucky Plaza and have our haircut together.

When we arrived Lucky Plaza, we went to the 4th floor to look for a salon. While strolling the 4th floor, we were greeted by a hairdresser, which is surprisingly the batch mate of my roommate during High School. He then directed us to his salon which was operated by a Malaysian national. We thought of that owner as Filipino since he communicated to us in Tagalog. The haircut costs S$15 and I looked fresh and young. Thanks to our fellow Filipino hairdresser.

After the haircut we went to check the Esprit sale. My roommate told me that there is a sale the other day where long sleeves only cost S$12. Too bad we did not find it. We then decided to go to Dollar Store at Toa Payoh to buy my lunch box. When we reached Toa Payoh MRT station, we went to the mall near the Bus Interchange to look for the Dollar Value Store. We walked, walked and walked until the Cash Converter store but we can’t find the Dollar Value Store. We end sitting in front of McDonald’s craving for the cheeseburger and fries. After ten minutes of resting, we have decided to snack in at McDonald’s. I just love and miss McDonald’s double cheeseburger and fries. Yum yum!

On our way back to the Toa Payoh MRT, we have decided to go to the other exit. Around thirty steps from the MRT station, we saw the Dollar Value Store. Isn’t that great? We have been looking for the store yet it is just near the MRT station. I was able to buy Oreo cookies and my lunch box. My roommates were able to buy toiletries, cookies, a shirt and even a hair colorant.

Just so you know…I now have Dark soft brown hair color. Hehehe.
