A Night of Ticks

Ms Cristina Sassudeli, 41, is suing a ferry company after waking up in a first-class cabin covered in ticks from head to toe. Isn’t that bizarre for a first class cabin? The Italian woman victim was making a night crossing weekend from the northern city of Genoa to the southern Italian island of Sardinia.

According to her, around 6:30 in the morning, she was awakened by the itching on her one arm then realized that she was actually covered with ticks from head to toe. When she reported it to the management, the staff of the ferry took her infested clothes then gave her new ones that were big for her size. When they arrived at Olbia, a crew member of the cruise ship accompanied her to a shop where she was able to buy new clothes. The company on the other hand did not reimburse her first-class ticket. Ms Sassudeli was filing a case against the ferry company to ensure that no one will suffer her same ordeal with the ticks.

If I was on her on position, I would do the same thing. Cruising is supposed to be about fun and relaxing and not to be infested with ticks. I am imagining the outcome of her skin. I hope that wouldn’t happen to me in the future.
