Share Your Book, Create A Library

Last Sunday, I saw an episode of Probe on ABS-CBN News Channel 27. On their “Aprobe” segment, they featured the latest endeavor of AHON Foundation. AHON (Acts of Hope for the Nation) Foundation is a non-government institution that helps build public elementary school libraries all over the Philippines..

Ahon Foundation’s latest project is the “Isang Milyong Aklat” (One Million Books). Wherein the foundation collect books and reading materials from the public to create a library in 200 plus public schools all over the country. Since they have started this project, they have received 200,000 plus reading materials. Isn’t that cool? They would be collecting books until April of 2008.

For sure a lot of kids would benefit to this cause. Not only the children would be encouraged to read but it will also help widen their knowledge about things.
