Philippines' Next Top Model

I just seen the premiere episode of the Philippine’s Next Top Model. It is aired over RPN 9 hosted by Ruffa Gutierrez. I haven’t seen the whole episode, so I cannot make a judgment if it faired enough to its American counterpart. I am just wondering why Ruffa is hosting when she is not a top model. I think Angel Aquino or Tweetie De Leon can host better, and they are top models.
