September 11th

It’s September 11th today. Yesterday night, I was watching CNN and they we’re showing footages of the 9-11 incident and it’s still horrific. At first glance, I thought there was a new terrorist attack in the US.

ABS-CBN showed last night the 9/11: The Philippines Connection documentary. I was supposed to finish it, but it is aired late primetime. It is an overwhelming documentary hosted by no other than Maria Ressa. No one can deliver this documentary better than Maria Ressa, author of Seeds of Terror and former Jakarta bureau chief of CNN International.

It is terrifying to know that the terrorist were coming in and out of the Philippines to plan their terrorist acts. Aside from that they train leftist group here in the Philippines with their knowledge. Some were even enrolled in Aviation schools just for the 9/11 attack.

This should be a wake-up call to the government to render extensive security measures and to pass and to act on anti-terrorism laws.

I should see the whole documentary… I hope it would be aired again during the weekend on an earlier time slot.
