Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel Contest

Mariah Carey released her 12th studio album titled "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" last September 29. Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel is head-to-head with Paramore's 3rd studio album on next week's Billboard's Hot 200 Album Charts.

Mariah Daily Journal has come up with the contest to help Mariah achieve her 7th #1 album in the US. In order to join, just purchase "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" in any US record stores and digital outlets. For international fans, you may join by buying the album at Amazon.com for only $9.99. Cut-off is before October 5th.

To enter the contest, just email the receipt, screen shot of the online purchase or the email confirmation from the retail store to contest@mariahjournal.com.  Entries will be accepted until 11:59 PM ET, October 4, 2009.

Go Green with SMRT Contest

I have been seeing this eco friendly ad contest in the Jurong East MRT station this whole week. I only got to learn about the full contest details just this morning when I picked the brochure from the MRT station. Apparently the contest already started last May and it will run until September this year. By the way, this contest is only for people in Singapore using the SMRT buses and trains.

Now, let’s talk about the prize! The grand prize winner will have 1 year free travel with SMRT for a family of four. There are also consolation prizes of 6 months free travel with SMRT. Isn’t that nice? You’ll help reduce carbon emissions and then you’ll have the chance of winning free rides. I hope I could win this contest since transportation costs here in Singapore is very high. I usually spend almost 5 SGD everyday from home to work and vice versa. That is around 160 Philippine pesos or US$ 6.6.

There are actually three ways on joining this contest, you can drop the contest form to MRT stations, join online or even SMS your entry. You just need for Passport number or Fin number and your ez-link number from your top up card. For more details visit GoGreenwithSMRT.com.

The next draw will be on September 18, 2008 at 12:30 P.M. at Bugis MRT Station. Grand draw will be on October 16, 2008 at 12:30 P.M. at City Hall MRT Station. Draw results will be published on Today newspaper.

$50 Contest Has Been Extended

Yesterday before I went to a friend’s birthday party, I dropped by Robinson’s Galleria to buy some cupcakes, have my lunch and to use the WiFi. It was just disappointing that while I was trying to connect, there were some errors in the connection. My laptop says it has something to do with the adaptor that needs to be enabled. I even tried restoring my system to a restore point but I still cannot connect. I ended up finishing my lunch without any new posts for my blog. Argh.

I was itching to blog since I need to inform my readers that I am extending my $50 contest. I received some comments that they still want to join. Makoy’s $50 Contest

Finally, I have formulated the mechanics of my own contest. Here it goes…

1. Create a review about my blog with a minimum of 200 words using at least two (2) of the following keywords: Makoy, Mark Ferdinand Tayag, lifestyle blog, personal blog, pinoy blogger, Filipino blogger, political views blog, entertainment news, business news and independent life. You may also use your own keyword related to my blog.
2. You need to put at least two (2) anchor links for those keywords linking to my blog and one link to my Literary Blog site: http://makoysliterarywritings.blogspot.com.
3. If you’re done with the post, leave a comment to this post so I could get back to you. Make sure to drop your PayPal ID.
4. After your review to my blog, create a unique slogan for my site. I might include that slogan in my blog header.
5. Submission of entries will end by April 30, 2008.
6. Winners will be announced on May 7, 2008.
