Bayani Fernando Early Campaigning

I received a comment from an anonymous reader today. He sent a link to the supposed picture of the campaigning of Bayani Fernando in Leyte. What are the troops of the MMDA and the Marikina government doing there? Hello to the Office of the Ombudsman or to ABS-CBN and GMA. Please check this matter. I am fed up with Bayani Fernando's use of public funds.

And I heard from a friend that he is a contestant in GMA 7's celebrity duets. Whatever!

Here is the picture of Bayani Fernando's early campaigning.

Bayani Fernando Billboard Update

Bayani FernandoLast Friday on our flight home to Manila, I was reading the Inquirer with Bayani Fernando on the news article. The article has something to do with his well-criticized MMDA billboards. He again insisted that there’s nothing wrong with his huge billboards in EDSA. Even it is clear to the public that it is illegal use of public funds. Do you think Filipinos are dumb to accept your billboards? What good did it do to the Filipinos? Clearly none. It’s just plain campaigning for your political dream in 2010.

What’s more disgusting with Bayani Fernando was his comment that it shouldn’t be thought of as campaigning since he is not smiling in his billboards. Great answer right? Nah!

Yesterday on my way home from Greenhills, the bus I’m in was tuned in to GMA 7’s 24 Oras. I was disgusted to watch that Bayani Fernando announced that he is replacing his huge billboards with a new picture. He even remarked that the reason people are complaining to his billboards was because he wasn’t smiling. That’s why in his new billboard he is smiling. Now he is eating his words and confirming that he is using these billboards for campaigning. What is the office of the Ombudsman doing to this matter? Wake up Ombudsman! Let Bayani Fernando pay for the costs of these billboards and charge him with graft and use of public funds. Let’s be vigilant guys. We are paying thousands of pesos of withholding tax every month and it would be just used on silly projects. Tsk tsk tsk.

No Bayani Fernando Billboards In Makati City

Latest update with Bayani Fernando’s mega billboards in EDSA. Apparently in Makati City, Mayor Jejomar Binay has ordered the dismantling of MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando’s billboard. I also received comments that BF’s billboards in Buendia as well in Pasay City are already dismantled. Mayors of the said cities are from the opposition. Does this mean that administration Mayors would continue to tolerate Bayani Fernando’s wrong doing?

Still with blog comments from my other article in Pinoy Blogosphere, I received alarming comments from a supporter of Bayani Fernando. Here are the commments:

From Pepeng kalawir, “mas ok na yang mga psoster ni BF kaysa sa mga posters ng mayors, congresmen and senators na puro “A project of….” “with the support of …” “in coordination with…” or “for the people of…”. Why BF is the only one who was able to bring sanity to our streets kahit na partial pa lang. We see big improvements unseen before.

BF for President!”
From Inggit, “Ang mga opposition ayan sinisiraan na si Bayani Fernando dahil alam nilang tatakbong presidente sa 2010, kaya ngayon pa lang ginagawan na ng butas. So binabayaran si Binay at Golez ng gobyerno para maghanap ng kung ano-anong butas sa pader ng BAYANI NG BAYAN na si Fernando whose purpose is to discredit him and taint his credibility, so people will not vote for him come 2010. mga opposition ay mga inggitero at mga tsismoso. Honestly for us, BAYANI is the Man for Malacanang. The man with principle and total political will. We will support and vote for BAYANI FERNANDO for President in 2010. I agree with you Pepeng, mga project project kuno of Tongressman or senatongs samantalang BIG chunk of that project went to their pockets haaay! nako, KARMA talaga ang aabutin ng mga opposition na ito. ahat ng magagandang ginagawa ng gobyerno ginagawan ng isyu just to mislead the Bakaya crowd!!”

I just don’t get it why they have to compare one wrong doing to another wrong doing just to justify Bayani Fernando’s wrong act. In the first place, I am against public official’s every announcement of their projects. If you’re going to quantify it, Bayani Fernando’s billboard are much absurd and purely for early campaigning only. If you are a public servant, you don’t need to brag about your accomplishments and latest projects. Better enter the corporate world if you want lots of recognition. Tsk tsk tsk.

Roilo Golez Mocked Bayani Fernando’s Billboards

Wednesday, I received a comment from my reader announcing that finally someone in public office has reacted the same way I did on Bayani Fernando’s too many billboards on EDSA. According to GMA News, Rep. Roilo Golez, 1st District of Paranaque City finally reacted and made a move on ordering the auditing of the costs of these tarpaulins.

Rep. Roilo Golez also criticized Bayani Fernando for using the funds of MMDA in his aspiration to be the Philippines’ President in 2010. What is Bayani Fernando thinking before putting these billboards on EDSA? Hasn’t he thought of criticisms he will get and as if no one will notice his move. People aren’t that stupid or he thinks Filipinos are stupid.

The ombudsman should check on this matter ASAP. Bayani Fernando should pay all costs and the Ombudsman should charge him with graft. I will volunteer to destroy one of his tarpaulins. Count me in! Who wants to join?

According to advertisers, that Bayani Fernando’s tarpaulin costs around Php 500 to 1,000 each. According to a MMDA employee, Bayani Fernando has ordered for the production of 10,000 pieces. He wasted that amount of money just to uglify the city. Thanks to Rep. Goilo Golez! Uglify is the word of the day.

Bayani Fernando City

Bayani Fernando MMDA TarpaulinIt really disgusts me to see tarpaulin of Bayani Fernando for MMDA all over the city. It’s really disgusting! Every time I see it, it makes me think of how much all of these tarpaulin costs and who paid for it. With that, I can officially call Metro Manila as “Bayani Fernando City” now.

Bayani Fernando MMDA Tarpaulin in EDSA OrtigasMy only argument to this issue is that he abused his power and used public resources to his early Presidential campaign. I just hope the Ombudsman and the media would look to his matter. I really want to know how much these tarpaulin costs. Tarpaulin or signages for MMDA should be about informing traffic rules and not about posting large pictures of the MMDA Chairman. If you would equate it Bayani Fernando’s picture is much larger than the public announcement at the bottom of the tarpaulin. Isn’t that annoying?

What could we expect if Bayani Fernando would win as President in 2010? More tarpaulin I guess.

Bayani Fernando For President?

Last week, I saw a large tarpaulin of MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando at three different places. The first one was at the flyover in POEA, second at MRT Taft Station and the third was in IPI, Pasig.

Bayani Fernando for President? The first time that I saw this tarpaulin, my face turned sour. Not again, Mr. Bayani Fernando. I think it was last year that I saw a birthday greeting banner for Bayani Fernando posted in the overpass at SM Mega Mall. I made a critic about it in my blog including the picture of course. The next day the banner was not there anymore. I still can recall how opposed MMDA are with the posting of tarpaulin and campaign materials in the streets, when their Chairman is the number one offender.

I just don’t get it why is there a need to include Bayani Fernando’s picture in the tarpaulin. As if his money was used in these tarps. I think he is already campaigning for Presidency in 2010. Choose a better picture next time Mr. Fernando, you look haggard and full of problems.

To our public servants, be reminded that the funds you are using are coming from the taxpayers. It’s just disappointing that the tax the government is charging to employees are sometimes used in “non-sense” projects. Public officials are elected to serve and not to do photo shoots and advertise every projects they finished. It’s your job for God’s sake.

RE: An Exception?

Friday morning on my way to work, I noticed that the banner I saw on the overpass at MegaMall Building B was already gone. Has Chairman Bayani Fernando saw my post and immediately ordered his staff to get it off?

An Exception?

Bayani Fernando
Taken this morning at the sidewalk of MegaMall Building B. I thought MMDA is against in posting posters, billboards or some sort on the streets of Manila. Is this banner an exception since it is Chairman Bayani Fernando's birthday?
