It really disgusts me to see tarpaulin of Bayani Fernando for MMDA all over the city. It’s really disgusting! Every time I see it, it makes me think of how much all of these tarpaulin costs and who paid for it. With that, I can officially call Metro Manila as “Bayani Fernando City” now.
My only argument to this issue is that he abused his power and used public resources to his early Presidential campaign. I just hope the Ombudsman and the media would look to his matter. I really want to know how much these tarpaulin costs. Tarpaulin or signages for MMDA should be about informing traffic rules and not about posting large pictures of the MMDA Chairman. If you would equate it Bayani Fernando’s picture is much larger than the public announcement at the bottom of the tarpaulin. Isn’t that annoying?What could we expect if Bayani Fernando would win as President in 2010? More tarpaulin I guess.

Hi makoyskie, may nagsalita narin sa wakas, and no less than Rep. Roilo Golez has taken the poster boy to task for his enormous facial tarpaulins along the length of EDSA.
Have you seen the new versions by the way, the photoedited ones that seem to have heeded some advice that the chin-in-hand pose is not good feng shui and so some guy at a computer moved the arm, trimmed the chin and fixed the collar?

Marami pang kabulastugan ang kumag na BF na yan... pinaglalaruan lang tayo ng mga kagaya nya... Well, as you all well know, yung bagong SM sa Marikina that was opened last September 2008 was all BF's project. His father-in-law Meneleo Carlos, president of the federation of Phil Industries, own the lot where the SM building sits on. The lot is a part of Marikina City where BF's wife is the mayor. The contractor is BF Corporation, own by BF and managed by her only daughter Tala. The access roads, bridges and links to this SM are government funded so its not surprising that the good MMDA Chairman had facilitated the implementation of these projects. Rumors has it that this SM's franchise is owned by BF. Now I dont no longer wonder why SM was given tax holiday of 3 years by the City Government of Marikina.
