As I have mentioned in my other personal blog, I was out last night. I went to the IT show in Suntec City to check out some digital cameras. Because of that I wasn't able to watch the elimination round of American Idol for the Top 13 round.This evening I was able to watch it on my laptop. Thanks to the wonders of the Internet. Jorge Nunez and Jasmine Murray went home this Michael Jackson week. Too bad, Michael Jackson did not appear or mentor the contestants. That would boost low his career.
Super ego singer Kanye West performed as well as Kelly Clarkson. Haha, I skipped Kanye's performance. It was all synthesized anyway. Kelly Clarkson's appearance in Idol after nine years look horrible. She looked scared to the judges and was a bit tensed. She didn't even have eye contact with the judges. I'm just curious on what's going on her head. Speaking of Kelly Clarkson, Ryan Seacrest mentioned that every week winners of the past seasons will guest the show. I can't wait for Carrie Underwood and Fantasia's guesting.
And have you heard the new bye bye song of this season? It's Carrie Underwood this time with her rendition to Motley Crue's "Home Sweet Home." I have to listen again to that song. I hope it will be a hit like Daniel Powter's "Bad Day."
Before I forget, there's a new rule in American Idol. The management of American Idol have decided to give a pass to a contestant if he or she was on the bottom two. The judges should have an unanimous vote if they want to save him or her. This pass can only be used once on every contestant until the Top 5. That way, there would be no Jennifer Hudson and Chris Daughtry contestants to say goodbye early on the show. Nice new rule for the deserving contestants.

Wouldn't that make the early front runners more complacent? Kung maging pangit man yung performance nilasa isang week, parang assured naman na sila na ililigtas sila ng mga judges.
