I have been seeing this eco friendly ad contest in the Jurong East MRT station this whole week. I only got to learn about the full contest details just this morning when I picked the brochure from the MRT station. Apparently the contest already started last May and it will run until September this year. By the way, this contest is only for people in Singapore using the SMRT buses and trains.Now, let’s talk about the prize! The grand prize winner will have 1 year free travel with SMRT for a family of four. There are also consolation prizes of 6 months free travel with SMRT. Isn’t that nice? You’ll help reduce carbon emissions and then you’ll have the chance of winning free rides. I hope I could win this contest since transportation costs here in Singapore is very high. I usually spend almost 5 SGD everyday from home to work and vice versa. That is around 160 Philippine pesos or US$ 6.6.
There are actually three ways on joining this contest, you can drop the contest form to MRT stations, join online or even SMS your entry. You just need for Passport number or Fin number and your ez-link number from your top up card. For more details visit GoGreenwithSMRT.com.
The next draw will be on September 18, 2008 at 12:30 P.M. at Bugis MRT Station. Grand draw will be on October 16, 2008 at 12:30 P.M. at City Hall MRT Station. Draw results will be published on Today newspaper.
