Rafael Nadal To Take Over Roger Federer

It is the first time Rafael Nadal won the Wimbledon title after winning four consecutive French Open titles. The match between Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer lasted almost five hours dethroning five-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer.

Last Monday, the official computer ranking was released. Roger Federer was still on top with 6,600 points while Rafael Nadal was on the second spot with 6,055 points. With just a small margin of 545 points, Rafael Nadal can easily claim the world’s number one title. Even Rafael Nadal is the second world’s best player, at this moment he is the world’s best tennis player after beating the world’s number one tennis player.

The motivation now for Rafael Nadal is to surpass Pete Sampras’ 14 Grand Slam titles. Rafael Nadal with just 12 Grand Slam titles will have a hard time catching up since he has knee problems troubling him.
