Just this morning, I saw Christine Gambito (better known as Happy Slip in YouTube) in ABS-CBN’s morning show, “Umagang Kay Ganda”. If you are not familiar with Happy Slip, she is a Filipina born and raised in Virginia. She earned her popularity and Internet celebrity status when she started doing videos in YouTube and the rest was history.
Just this January 28, 2008, she was appointed ambassador for Philippine tourism by the Department of Tourism. In her interview at “Umagang Kay Ganda,” she will visit places here in the Philippines as part of her being ambassador to the Philippine tourism. How I wish I would be given that opportunity and travel for free. I just hope it would help boost the Philippine tourism even the recent downgrade rating of our aviation system.I honestly haven’t seen her videos yet. I only saw videos clips of her one-woman production at Umagang Kay Umaga. I would definitely find time to check it out. Visit her website and be amazed with her wit, charm and pure talent.
