Book Review: A Million Little Pieces

Setting aside the controversy, I find this book very interesting, informative and scary. James Frey told his addiction in manner that is believable. Even I am aware of using drugs, it seems like I know it all. Aside from that his words sounded very personal, and soulful. It’s sad to hear that in reality, kids are using drugs and alcohol, and parents have no hint that their kids are using it.

I just find the usage of repetitive words and sentences very annoying. I don’t know if it’s James Frey style or what. I just don’t like it. He’s like doing it to fill up a chapter. Aside from that the word “f#ck” is widely used in each chapter.

Again setting aside the controversy, “A Million Little Pieces” is beautifully written. The chronology of the story seems perfect. I just can’t distinguish which part of the story is fiction and non-fiction.
