Charlotte Church Wins $951,400 From Hacking Damages



Classical singer Charlotte Church received a total of $951,400 settlement from the defunct News of the World.

The settlement according to reports is one of the highest to be paid for a phone-hacking scandal, which includes 300,000 pounds of legal fees.

Church and her parents filed a suit against the news company for its phone hacking activity which happened when Charlotte was still a teenager.

According to court, 33 articles which was published by the News of the World were gathered from listening to the family's voicemails.
