Kelly's new album returned to her "Breakaway" sound—pop rock sound that we love. Her first single, "My Life Would Suck Without You" according to observers sounded like "Since U Been Gone." For me it doesn't sound alike and it's the right formula for her comeback. The song is very catchy and refreshing.
In "I Do Not Hook Up", the angsty Kelly surfaced. I like the beat of the song and the chorus. This song will make you sing the chorus. Speaking of angst, another song with a strong persona is “Whyyawannabringmedown.” The song is hard rock with the heavy electric guitar on the side! Still with a high beat is the song “Don't Let Me Stop You.” This song though sounded like her former song "Behind These Hazel Eyes.”
In "Cry", the emotional persona of Kelly surfaced. I love this song. This reminds me of the song "Because of You." It is very soulful and I love the way Kelly sang the high notes. This can be the right second single to be released. Another great emotional ballad is “If No One Will Listen.”
"All I Ever Wanted" was a nice song. It has a great dance beat to it. It is refreshing and I haven't heard Kelly with this kind of song. "If I Can't Have You" on the other hand is the ultimate dance track of Kelly's album. I just love this song. It is a dance song but there’s still the Kelly mark to it. Very angsty yet danceable.
"Already Gone" is the mellow ballad song from Kelly's new album. The song is nice especially if you want the mood of being cozy. It was quite dreamy for me. “Save You” is another slow song from “All I Ever Wanted” album. “I Want You” on the other hand is very bubbly song. This can be a great song for an animated film.
Here are the other songs from “All I Ever Wanted” album: Long Shot, Impossible and Ready.
This is definitely Kelly's year. Every track has its distinct sound and this album even has a dance track. Would you believe that? I am rating this album 8 out of 10. The 14 songs are all good and I hope this album and the songs will do great in Billboard Charts. My favorite tracks by the way are “If No One Will Listen” and “Cry.”
