Work Permit Application

Yesterday morning, I went to my recruitment agency to claim my Letter of in Principle needed for the work permit and to submit as well my medical result. It was a gloomy day and I was worried that any time soon it would rain. The manager of the recruitment agency assisted me since my usual recruitment officer hasn’t made it in the office yet. He asked for the medical result then told me that he would just email the Letter of Employment within the day. Instead of going home, I was on the streets reading the content of the In Principle letter. I think it was after 10 minutes that I received a call from the manager saying that I should come back in their office and he has the Letter of Employment. I’m glad I was just near the recruitment agency.

When I came back, he gave me the letter and he instructed me to go to the WPSC at Tanjong Pagar Complex. According to him, it is just a 10 minute walk from their agency. When we were about to finish, my recruitment officer arrived. That was the time the manager left me then I asked the recruitment officer for the employment benefits. According to her, I will have one day of leave every month and 80% medical reimbursement.

Going to the WPSC is just a straight walk from the opposite side of the Police Station in Outram Park MRT. I’m glad there were signage’s that I’m going to the right direction. I reached the Tanjong Pagar complex with a surprise in my face that the first floor of the building is an open area food court. I just followed the signages leading me to the WPSC, which is on the second floor.
