Answered Prayers Part II

Thursday afternoon around 4 P.M. after I have taken a bath, I was surprised to receive a call from the recruitment agency. The recruitment officer had this bubbly and somewhat laughing voice. She told me that she has good news for me. That I was shortlisted for the job that they were cooking. This job was actually from the same employer I was suppose to work with last June. Since I was having problems with my medical examination that time, the position was actually cancelled. She also told me that I need to come to the employer’s office by 5:30 P.M. that day. I remember telling her that it’s impossible for me to arrive on time since it will take me 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the office. Well, she told me that I should start preparing and she will meet me at the employer’s office by 5:30 P.M.

I can’t explain the joy with this new answered prayer. God has been so good to me. Anyway, after the call, I was cramming and somewhat disoriented with that I should do first. I changed first to my office attire then grabbed my bag then left the house. I even managed to pee and drink some water since I’ll be running to catch time.

While I was on my way to the employer’s office, the recruitment officer kept on checking my location. She even advised me to take a cab so make it on time. When I asked her how many minutes will it take and how much the cab will cost, she answered 30 minutes and it will cost around 20 SGD. Instead of taking a cab, I still continued my journey using the MRT since I don’t have extra cash for the cab. I apologized to her and she told me that she has informed the employer that I’ll be a little late.

I think I was 5 to 8 minutes late. We went to the reception for the visitor’s pass then went straight to the 10th floor. We went directly to the IT department head and the interview started. The interview lasted for almost one hour. I just hope everything goes well. I hope you will continue to pray for me.

If you like this post, buy me a cup of coffee.
