Survivor Contestant

Just woke up by a dream. It’s silly but in my dream, I was a contestant of Survivor. Yes, the mother of all reality shows! In my dream, they were selecting the players of the show. I wasn’t called yet when the host called one male and one female and was immediately brought to a challenge. The one who would win in the challenge would have a spot in the game.

As the challenge progressed, my co-contestants helped the two in the challenge. I went to watch the female contestant and was even asked to help her. I just said, “I’m not sure if I can.” I was a viewer of Survivor and I know there are rules. Helping the girl would definitely jeopardize my slot in the game.

Anyway, the female won over the male. I felt guilty that I didn’t do anything to help her. By the way, I’m the only Asian in the show and I was speaking fluently in English. Cool huh!

Speaking of dreams, I have researched the meaning of my scary dream last week. According to the dream dictionary of hyperdictionary.com, seeing a ghost in a dream means:

In general, ghosts symbolize aspects of yourself that you fear. This may involve a painful memory, guilt, or some repressed thoughts. You may be afraid of death and dying. Alternatively, ghosts are representative of something that is no longer obtainable or within reach. It indicates a feeling of disconnection from life and society. This dream may be a calling for you to move on and abandon your outdated modes of thinking and behavior. Dreaming that you reach out to touch a ghost, but it disappears indicates that you are taking steps to acknowledging some painful or repressed thoughts even though you are not ready to fully confront them. Seeing the ghost of a living relative or friend in your dream means that you are in danger of malice acts by that person. Seeing the ghost of a dead friend/relative in your dream, suggests guilt and regrets concerning the past relationships with that particular person.

awww ang sad naman re: ghosts. i dreamt a lot about my dad after he passed away, though not as a ghost. Lagi lang na binibisita ko sya in our old house. the dream dictionary was right, i was feeling guilty about fighting with him a lot during his last months. pero in my dreams, he was always re-assuring me. i guess we've forgiven each other through my dreams. now i don't feel bad anymore. =)
