Election Is Near

Every time I would see billboards of our incumbent local officials in Parañaque, I cannot deny the fact that they dismay me a lot. If I just have the time to take snapshots of those billboards, I would be glad to post it here.

Billboards of Mayor Jun Bernabe are placed in Casino Filipino, in front of Duty Free Philippines and Airport Citimall, and in La Huerta Elementary School. Vice-Mayor Anjo Yllana’s billboard is placed as ad boards on waiting sheds in La Huerta and Sto. Niño.

It made me realize that election is coming soon than I think, and at this stage they are already campaigning. These incumbent officials use their stature and power to their advantage. One signage in Mutinational Village caught my attention. It says “Ord 05-04 New Traffic Code Now In Effect” then below it says “Konsehal BONSOL.” What the heck is the relation of the notice to that Councilor Bonsol? Is he the author of that ordinance? If he is, Is there a need to know? It is your job anyway. You do not need to advertise your work.

In an office setting would it be appropriate if I would be posting my picture and name on every system I finish. I would even make it an animation so it is striking. Hahaha.

I would bet another billboard of Mayor Jun Bernabe raising the hand of Manny Pacquiao would be fixed again if Manny Pacquiao would win in the upcoming boxing match with Erik Morales.

I am so dismayed!
