My back problem

Since started working, I've been suffering with this occurring lower back pain. Until last year that I've consulted an Ortho. The diagnosis was--I have an exagerration of the curve of the lumbar lordosis.

When looking at a person from the side with most of their clothes off, these natural curves can be seen. When the low back curves too far in, a person looks "swaybacked." This condition is called lumbar lordosis. Too much of a curve in the low back puts pressure on the entire back. This can lead to pain and poor movement.

I've been looking for the cure for my ailment and I have encountered the terms acupunture, chiropractor and recently the dorn method. With acupunture, I have to be inserted with needles for the chi to flow--eventually curing the ailment.

Chiropractor (called "uwing" in Bulacan) treats its patient by manually adjusting the spinal column. Some use water, light, massage, ultrasound, electric, acupuncture, and heat therapy. Chiropractors counsel patients about wellness concepts such as nutrition, exercise, changes in lifestyle, and stress management, but do not prescribe drugs or perform surgery.

Then my attention came to the Dorn Method (an alternative to Chiropractor). The corrections of joint or spinal cord misalignments is always done in a 'dynamic' moving action. Our muscles will always try to hold the positions of the joints and spine and when they are out of order the muscles assumes this 'wrong' position as the correct one and hold it there. A static correction e.g. chiropractic, is difficult since it needs to overcome the strength of the holding muscles and the patient is often quite tense since the treatment is done ´on´ him and not ´with´ him..

The Dorn Method can be called a ‘gentle’ Method and NO harm can be done to the patient because the correction pressure is stopped as soon as ANY Pain arises.

...Sounds scary, but I think this is the only answer to my ancient problem. I'm planning to try it this 19th. I've already inquired to a center that offers the Dorn Method.

I just hope the 1,200 payment is worth it...
